Photos 1 - 4: Radiation Planning 26/06/09. I got my first (and only) tattoos that day. Just a small prick between on my sternum and on my side. This was to make permanent marks so that the radiation technicians could line the machine up for my radiation sessions. The room for the planning was cold and I had to lie still a lot. The staff were lovely though and so understanding. I wasn't too happy about having my mugshot taken as I had recently become totally bald and wasn't feeling so great. One of the technicians had nice warm hands and that was good. They drew all over me with the red pen first, then came the tattoos! They were over with in a flash. It was a pin prick and then a dab of ink gently rubbed in.

If you would like to share YOUR breast cancer photographs (anonymously), please email them to tish.kirkland@hatiheri.com and I will post them on a sharing page. My aim is to create a resource to demystify breast cancer and what it involves.
